September 16 Meeting Notes and Photos

On September 16, we welcomed fall by gathering outside at Drew Nielsen Park on our standard Thursday at 6:30 pm. We got to meet some new neighbors, hear about our plans for the park and the information board, and be together. It was a nice time.

Our next meeting will be back on Zoom with guest speaker, Mayor Cassie Franklin, on Thursday, October 21 at 6:45pm. If you have questions you want to ask her, please email those in advance to Kari, who will forward them on to Nichole with the City.

February Meeting Summary, Minutes and Photos

Our February meeting was held at Washington State University Everett and the University Center located on North Broadway. Our host and speaker was Chancellor Paul Pitre. We learned about the programs available at WSU Everett and got to tour the facility. It was a lovely time on campus! Thanks to Paul and Randy for their cooperation in setting up the visit and tour.

Here are the meeting minutes from Kristina:

February Meeting Summary and Discussion

We had a super meeting on February 15th with about 40 in attendance. Our special guests were Cathy Reines and Joshua Scott from Koz Development, and Tyler Rourke from Everett Non-Motorized Transportation Association / Everett Bike Walk.  We discussed the potential student housing building near Everett Community College, and options for biking and walking more than driving. Also, Pat Sisneros from Everett Community College was there to answer questions from the college’s perspective.

Thanks to our new Everett City Council Liaison Judy Tuohy for joining us!

Thanks to Officer Roberto and Sergeant Braley for representing Everett Police.

More details in the minutes that Kristina took here. Tell her thanks next time you see her. 🙂

Meeting with Mayor Cassie Franklin Was Terrific!

Thank you for so many people who turned out for the meeting with our new mayor Cassie Franklin. Like I shared at the meeting, a good meeting for us is around 20-25 people. A really good meeting is around 40 people. We exceeded 80! What a great feeling to see connections being made in our neighborhood and across our city. Thanks a bunch! – Kari Quaas, Chair
