Northwest Neighborhood Committee Elections

We had a great turnout at last month’s neighborhood meeting. It was election time and a number of our neighbors stepped up and accepted officer positions on our Steering Committee:

Chair: Kari Quaas

Treasurer: Russ Kasselman

Secretary: Kristina Perry

Council of Neighborhood Reps: GeorgaDee MacLeod, Stephanie Prothero

Other members of the Steering Committee are Shelley Weyer, Holly Gibson, Jackie Knopf, Tim Knopf, JT Dray, MaryVee Westlund, and Joni Smith.

The people on our Steering Committee help to arrange neighborhood meetings, oversee neighborhood events and projects, manage our budget (did you know that we receive mini-grants from the City each year?), and liaison with Everett’s Office of Neighborhoods. Anybody who lives in the neighborhood is welcome to attend our Steering Committee meetings — dates and locations are announced at the monthly Northwest Neighborhood Meeting & Social Hour.

By the way, if you’d like to jump right in just like Kari, the Vice Chair position is still open.
