Residential Historic Plaque Program

Description:
Many communities have historic plaques available for their older homes.plaque18921

Within the next 20 years we’ll have dozens if not hundreds of 100+ year old homes. These plaques are one way of celebrating and honoring these older homes that make our Neighborhood so very special. Our understanding is that a home does NOT need to be 100 years old to qualify for a residential plaque.

Progress:
a.) Met w/Valerie Steel
b.) Valerie asked Historic Everett about the status of their existing residential plaque program efforts.
c.) Paul and David Chrisman from Historic Everett met 1/21. David has a complete (and excellent) program ready to roll out. Since a majority of 100+ year old homes are in the NW Neighborhood we volunteered to help in any way we can with their program.

Next Steps:
COMPLETED!! Historic Everett is in the process of ordering the first plaques for approximately a dozen homes!

We assume Historic Everett will publish the detailed program description and requirements very soon.
