Donations

Q.) Why do we need donations? Doesn’t the $2,700 we get from the City (Mini-Grants) cover all our expenses?

A.) The Mini-Grant money was specifically dedicated to the following projects (2009) and can NOT be spent in any other way.

Easter Egg Hunt and Parade $400,Picnic $1,500, Web site $700.

There are many projects proposed by our neighbors that are not covered by the mini-grant, including:

* New and additional Northwest Neighborhoods signs cost $1,600 each and we need four of them.
* Promotional Expenses ( advertising, signage and printing) for our “Mother of All Garage Sales”
* A possible NW Neighborhood Summer Solstice Party the Evening of Sorticiulture
* The cost of printing and production for our Block Watch Membership window Stickers
* The cost of printing and production for our Block Watch Surveys.
* The cost of printing and production for our Neighbors Helping Neighbors
* The cost of printing, mailing and production for our special mass mailing trial Northwest Neighborhood Newsletter
* The cost of NW Neighborhood signage for the July 4th Parade
* Special technical and design assistance for our NW Neighborhood Association email notices as well as our NW Neighborhood Block Watch alerts.
* Special web site and database technical assistance.
* The cost of scanning hundreds of old Northwest Neighborhood slides into an electronic format
* Limited production and printing of the 1892 Birdseye print of Everett.
* The cost of our trial Alley Surveillance project
* The cost of promoting our planning bike and jogging path

THANK YOU!!!
