Action Taken:
a.) Asked John McNamara a known local a painter to outline a number of ways that neighbors are scammed by painting contractors.
b.) Also contacted Jim Hard another well know Everett painter asking him to help volunteer ways in which residents get scammed by painters.
Next Steps:
1.) Write up notes from discussions with John
2.) Interview Jim Hard
3.) Send completed notes back to John & Jim for their approval
4.) Publish as a first step on the “Preferred Contractor / Contractor Scam Alert” portion of our new NW Neighborhood web site as well as mention the number of local homes each have painted.
5.) Follow same process with carpentry and then with roofers, plumbers and sewer folks.
