Improved Noise Ordinance

Here’s you chance to finally do something about those people with their car stereos and excessively loud mufflers. Let’s write a more strict noise ordinance.

a.) We contacted Jeff Dodd who works on noise ordinance issues for the City. He said that he thought that the police do have the authority to ticket drivers playing very loud music and vehicles with very loud exhausts. He said he was going to check with the police and get back to us.
b.) We received an excellent letter from Deputy Chief Lineberry about this issue and how the EPD is interested in adding decibel meter systems to next years police budget. No promises at this point but real interest in stepping up enforcement of the existing noise ordinance
